How does the DreamMakers Dance year work?

Classes will start after labor day and run through the end of the school year. During our season, dancers will have weekly classes, fun events scattered throughout the year, and preparation for our end-of-year performance. We are hopeful to continue adding performing opportunities as the years progress! Please see our studio calendar for the 2024-2025 dance year.

What is our studio inclement weather policy?

Are parents/legal guardians allowed to watch or sit in the waiting room?

We do not allow parents/legal guardians to watch class on a weekly basis because we want to encourage an intimate space for our dancers to grow together and bond with their fellow students and instructor(s) without distraction. We will be having parent visitation week(s) that will be announced as the year starts to unfold. However, you are more than welcome to sit in the waiting room if you’d like to or if you have any errands to run, don’t worry, we’ll keep your dancer safe.

What are the dancewear requirements for class?

Studio dance attire will be purchased through the studio including leotards, tights, shoes, etc., and that’s what is to be worn for class. Hair should be worn in a nice bun unless told otherwise. Specific dancewear will be announced later this summer.

We will have scheduled returning student and NEW student dancewear fittings during our August Open Houses. Be on the lookout for further details on what your dancer may need in terms of attire.

How are class placements determined?

We base your dancer’s class placement level on a variety of factors, such as age, ability, years of dance, etc. With your dancer’s best interest at heart, we may adjust his/her class placement so that we are able to find the best fit for them.
